Finance Assistant Manager (GL)

Description

  • Responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts (including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and roll forward schedules.)
  • Review all payroll and benefits expenses to ensure they are entered in the ERP accurately and timely
  • Perform cash reconciliation for assigned accounts
  • Perform duties to support the accurate recording of fixed asset activity (monthly depreciation, additions, and retirements) as well as perform periodic reconciliations and roll forwards
  • Review source documentation and verify proper GL coding of daily transactions
  • Able to lead the month-end close process and the preparation of the monthly balance sheet and income statement along with related fluctuation analyses to provide meaningful commentary for management reporting
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and collaborate with respective teams to resolve issues
  • Prepare ‘Prepared by Client’ workpapers for audits (GAAP, IFRS, and Statutory)
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned (e.g. sales and use tax reporting and EBITDA adj support)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA /CPA)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in similar roles
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and to meet deadlines
  • Have an “ownership” attitude and act proactively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Proficient in both US GAAP and IFRS
