Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Strategic Leadership
- Align the mechanical engineering team’s goals with company objectives (e.g., accelerate system build release, improving build quality, scaling manufacturing capabilities)
- Develop technical roadmap (e.g., inspection equipment, automation)
- Build cross-functional alignment – partner with Operations, Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution)
Team Growth & Talent Management
- Recruit and onboard effectively to expand team to support business growth
- Mentor and develop junior engineers – 1:1 focused on career paths, encourage ownership, critical thinking, innovation, knowledge transfer, development leadership
- Invest in training: conferences, certifications, GD&T, 8D, Fishbone
- Build external partnerships – extended factory, special process suppliers
Process & Technical excellence
- Implement best practices: traveller, workflow, design reviews, FMECA, ECO, DFx
- Adopt modern tools: PDM, PLM
- Continuous improvement: KPI, BI
Essential Skills:
- 10y of combined mechanical design and manufacturing engineering exeperiences
- 5y of leadership position in design or manufacturing engineering capacity
- Exceptional problem solving skills, GD&T, Solidworks, MS Office, Project Management, risk management, semiconductor equipment
Qualifications:
- 15 years working experience of low volume high mix manufacturing
- B.S. ME minimum in USA accredited school
- No H-1B sponsorship or relocation package
