Manufacturing Engineer II (Cobot Programmer)

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for supporting and executing manufacturing processes across assigned product lines and operations. This role focuses on end-to-end cobot proliferation into the manufacturing work stream to maximize productivity.  It includes equipment selection, cobot programming, fixture design, data collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Program and support collaborative robots (cobots) for manufacturing and inspection applications
  • Design fixtures to support inspection, and machine tending
  • Pull and analyze data from Zeiss CMM systems to support process and quality evaluations
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources and draw conclusions to support engineering and quality decisions
  • Support yield and scrap reduction efforts
  • Identify root causes of yield loss and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist in implementing and verifying corrective measures
  • Identify and support continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Create CAD models and drawings as needed

Essential Skills:

  • Experience programming cobots for manufacturing or inspection use
  • Ability to design QC fixtures to support inspection processes
  • Experience extracting and analyzing data from Zeiss CMM systems
  • Solid project coordination and organizational skills
  • Good analytical and reporting skills (Microsoft Office applications)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with moderate supervision
  • Strong ability to consolidate data from multiple sources and draw clear, actionable conclusions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; semiconductor industry experience preferred
  • 3–5 years of cobot programming experience
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, GD&T
