Material Handler
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Receive in raw material deliveries from suppliers, and verify quantities
- Process raw material invoices
- Label new raw material for traceability
- Safely palletize new raw material
- Stock raw material on the correct rack/ shelf location
- Issue raw material to Production jobs
- Blank raw material to exact quantity and size requirements
- Deliver blanked raw material to Production
- Immediately notify manager or Purchasing of any shortages
- Perform other related duties, as needed
Essential Skills:
- Fork Lift certification required
- Operate Fork Lift in a safe, responsible manner
- Ability to precisely measure raw material for blanking, maximizing yield
- Operate Panel saw, Horizontal saw, Chop saw safely
- Must be able to work scheduled shift and overtime, as required
- Must maintain a clean, safe work environment to 5S Standards
- Leadership: Display initiative to follow up and resolve problems seen in the field and always willing to bring ideas to the table
- Teamwork: Wonderful team player with a great attitude, willing to learn and grow in their role
- Attention to detail: High attention to details is required to follow up and resolve problems
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED desired
- Warehouse/ inventory experience required
- Must have experience operating a Fork Lift and industrial saws
- Must be able to use a desktop workstation and manufacturing software
- Knowledge of various types of thermoplastics is a plus
