Quality Assurance Member- RMA & FAI Specialist

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  1. RMA (Return Materials Authorization)
    a. Review & assess returned products to determine root causes of defects or failure
    b. Initiate and manage the RMA process, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
    c. Work with customer service, production, and engineering teams to investigate RMA issues and coordinate solutions
    d. Record and maintain accurate RMA documentation, including failure analysis reports and corrective actions
    e. Track RMA trends and escalate recurring issues to the appropriate teams for further investigation and improvement
  2. FAI (First Article Inspection)
    a. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with customer specifications and regulatory standards
    b. Prepare and execute detailed FAI reports, documenting all inspections and measurements for initial product runs
    c. Collaborate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to address any discrepancies or non-conformance issues during FAI
    d. Ensure that all required inspection criteria, materials, and documentation are met before production begins
    e. Verify that any modifications to products or processes are properly documented and validated through FAI

Essential Skills:
• Previous experience related to RMA process is critical for the position
• Strong customer communication/interaction to handle RMA’s
• Positive attitude to handle customer rejections
• Previous experience within the Quality Department and/or have worked on a similar position
• Familiarity with quality programs such as calibration, document control, training, safety, 5S etc
• Detail Oriented, strong common sense, team player, open to suggestions
• Blue print reading skill and knowledge in manufacturing environment is a plus
• Heavy typing required. Accuracy and speed are a must.
• Highly organized, able to follow up and ensure closure of problems
• Able to perform duties in a precise and accurate manner under minimal supervision
• Strong Computer and analytical skill required
Excellent use of Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Windows

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher education
  2. 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing company
  3. Knowledge of quality control principles, inspection tools, and techniques
  4. Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  5. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  7. Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and interact with internal teams
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with quality management software
  10. Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to 25 lbs.)
