Job Summary

Oversee all financial operations of the company, including financial planning, analysis, and strategic improvements. Your role involves ensuring compliance with local IFRS and tax regulations, contributing to finance strategies aligned with corporate goals, and leading staff in line with organizational policies. You’ll manage financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and advise on strategic business issues. Additionally, you will handle budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, oversee external relationships with auditors and tax agents, and lead key projects like ERP system upgrades. You’ll also guide the Global Shared Service Organization that supports accounts receivable and payable functions across the C-Hawk group.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct all aspects of financial operations for the Company, providing business decision support, financial planning and analysis, and implement strategic planning and improvement processes.
  • To ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with local IFRS and tax rules.
  • Contribute to implementation of Finance strategies in Malaysia that are in line with Corporate objectives and directions. Lead staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with established financial processes, and local compliance requirements, statutory government reporting, procedures and controls; financial reporting and review of revenue, expenditures, asset management, tax, management reporting and administration.
  • Advise operational leaders on financial, strategic, organizational, and business issues for both shortand long-term growth strategies.
  • Assist in implementation of management and administrative financial systems, policies, and procedures to provide structure and discipline for sustained business growth.
  • Oversee financial planning & business performance analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, investment & risk management activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and the adherence to corporate reporting timetables.
  • Manage & liaise with external parties, including auditor, tax agent and bankers.
  • Planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; disciplining and addressing subordinate issues/problems.
  • Involved in implementation of key projects such as ERP system upgrading.
  • Lead Global Shared Service Organization that supports AR and AP accounting functions of affiliated companies within C-Hawk group.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent. Professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar capacity.
  • Knowledgeable in accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit and taxation.
  • Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines, effective communicator and team player.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Understand inventory management & costing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify financial issues, develop, recommend and execute mitigating actions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership capability to manage and mentor staff.
